I’m Jason Markel-
A licensed marriage and family therapist and the founder of Inner Change Counseling. I specialize in helping LGBTQ+ individuals navigate self-doubt, heal from past trauma, and build meaningful, authentic lives.

During your first session we will explore your goals, challenges, and hopes for therapy. This is an opportunity to share what’s important to you and see if we’re a good fit to work together.
TWO | PERSONALIZED PLAN
Based on your needs and goals, we’ll create a tailored plan that addresses your concerns and supports your growth. My holistic approach integrates mind, body, and spirit, offering tools and strategies that resonate with you.
THREE | ONGOING SUPPORT
In each session, we’ll work together to process your experiences, develop insight, and build the skills needed to create meaningful and lasting change. You’ll feel supported and empowered every step of the way.
Why I Do This Work
I believe in the power of healing, growth, and transformation. My career has been shaped by a deep desire to support individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful change.
Through my experiences in the military, social services, and as a therapist, I’ve witnessed how feelings of being stuck, unseen, or disconnected can hold people back. These challenges, though overwhelming, can also be powerful catalysts for inner growth. My purpose is to help clients harness that potential and move toward lives of confidence, connection, and authenticity.
